As reasonable an explanation as any, I suppose. Troubling, but it's unlikely anything can truly be done about it. I'll wait for it to resolve itself as everything else has.

How could it not sound like me? I am me.

Mm. No matter. One of those is certainly my forte, but I'm sure the information is general enough to apply to both. Visualize the point you're trying to make before you begin writing. Keep your supporting evidence relevant; don't ramble just to meet arbitrary word counts. If you've been allotted 500 words, use each one with purpose.

I would wager that you ignore outlines when assigned to you. Do not do this. Do not underestimate the importance of a strong outline to organize your thoughts and help bring structure to your words.

Normally you'd say something along the lines of "FUCK YEAH!". The way you're being now...it's too formal.

It's like you've been replaced with an alien.

An alien? Hardly. Aliens don't exist.

And I would never be that crass with my language. Regardless, this is more than just studying hard. This is about writing efficiently and effectively. It is a skill that will pay back dividends for years to come if mastered early.

If that's the way I sounded before, perhaps the audio has deteriorated. Perhaps something has changed about it.

I suppose the question, at this point, is what we should do next. If you are so convinced that this is the way I used to sound, it's clear to me that something has changed, whether in your perception or my own. How do we resolve it?

Perhaps it is something that, as everything else has, will resolve itself with time. Doubtlessly, the city is having some fun with memories this month. We will likely not be able to do anything to fix it ourselves.

Working towards my doctorate.

When that is complete, I will attend to the city.
